Postage Policy

All orders received before 3pm weekdays will be send on the same day (unless out of stock of course!) 

Our Fair Postage Policy

We won’t profit by our postage and that’s a promise to you!

If you feel you have been overcharged for shipping, we will investigate the actual postage costs and refund you any excess you may have paid. Our postage charges are directly linked to the Royal Mail and Parcelforce charges we incur and are based on the 2010 Royal Mail Rates tables published via their website.

We add 45p per order to cover the costs or packaging materials (labels, Jiffy bags or Boxes, Packing Slips and Labour) which is combined with the postal charges for the chosen service.

The Services we use are:

  • Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class Standard
  • Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class Recorded
  • Royal Mail Special Delivery, inc Next Day, 9am and Saturday Guaranteed
  • Royal Mail Standard Parcels
  • Parcelforce 24 & 48 Express

For international shipping we also use

  • Royal Mail Airmail
  • Royal Mail Airmail International Signed for
  • Royal Mail Airsure
  • For large parcels, we will hunt for the best value service for the destination and contact you with a price at the time of ordering.

Please note that for international deliveries, we will exclude destinations not covered by Royal Mail Guarantees that we experience any problems with excessive delivery times or items being lost in the post.

Lost Items

Everything we send is insured in some way*, so should your item go missing in the post then our policy is to offer a refund or to re-send the order out to you.  If you purchase small items for delivery in the UK and they are over £34 we advise you use special delivery.

We are advised by Royal Mail as to the length of time to wait before making a claim, and once that time has passed a claim will be processed by us on your behalf. We will not wait for the claim to be resolved by Royal Mail before processing a refund or re-dispatch but do ask that you do wait the full term outlined below as sometimes items do turn up late or are sent back to us for various reasons.

*Please note that the value of this insurance is dependent on the postage method you choose. Currently Royal Mail Standard and Recorded services only cover up to £34.

Item Returned to us by Royal Mail

In some case Royal Mail will send you item back to us as ‘undeliverable’. This may be due to the address being incomplete / wrong, nobody present to receive the package and not collected from the sorting office or an address being inaccessible.

This is classed by us as a failure on the customers part to receive the package. In these cases we will ask for the postage to be re-paid if the item is to be re-sent to you and the incurred postage costs will not be refund.

 

Returning items to us.

If you are returning goods for whatever reason, we ask that you insure the package in some way. This can simply be by obtaining proof of postage from your post office for items under £34.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the item gets to us safely, so we just ask that you are covered in some way and are prepared to accept the liability for any items that you send.
